The Giants' History

In early February the band performed alongside Robb Storme & the Whispers at the annual Hungerstop Ball at the Corn Exchange Brighton to a sell out crowd.  Over the coming months a three-day a week residency at the Starlight Rooms, as well performances in London and throughout the South of England, kept the band really busy.

In June 1966 John Hills decided to call it a day as a professional musician as he wanted a more settled future, and announced reluctantly that he would be leaving the band.  Shortly after, Glyn Grain indicated that he too would be moving on as he wished to become an actor.  Glyn went on to study at a London acting academy and became a professional actor.

Trevor Duplock (Tony Grant ) joined Shelley in August 1966.
